Abstract
Hepatic cysts are rare in children and can be congenital or acquired in origin. They may be solitary or multiple. congenital hepatic cysts are generally incidental findings. although patients may presnt with abdominal masses, hepatomegaly, or
abdominal
pain, in careful autopsy or radiographic surveys they are found in 1% to 2.5% of individuals. Rarely, these cysts may be pedunculated and mistaken for a mesenteric, omental, or ovarian cyst prior to surgical exploration.
We experienced a case of solitary, pedunculated hepatic cyst in newborn, which had been detected in the abdomne of fetus on fetal sonography.
We reported the case with brief review of literatures.
